A visit to the museum
During a visit to Museum Amersfoort, students actively engage with the collection. They analyse objects, listen to stories and connect the past with the present.
In addition to the permanent collection, the museum regularly offers changing exhibitions that connect to current themes in society.

An interactive tour along the highlights of the collection, tailored to the year group.
Source research workshop
Students work with original sources from the collection and learn historical reasoning.

Preparation for the museum visit with background information, teaching methods and classroom activities.

Practical information
Costs
A school visit costs €4.50 per student. Supervisors are free of charge. Combine with a guided tour for a complete programme.
Group size
A school class consists of a maximum of 30 students. Larger groups are split and can follow different activities in parallel.
Duration
A standard museum visit lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Combination programmes with workshop or guided tour last 2.5 to 3 hours.

Museum Amersfoort is easily accessible by public transport. Just a 5-minute walk from Amersfoort Central station.
